Two companies, one goal

Patagonia and Almo Nature, together for the first time at a public event and live stream, open the doors to their economic models in an open dialogue with the public.

Not just a simple story, but an in-depth analysis of the mechanisms, choices, and long-term vision that define their economic models.

PATAGONIA
Earth is now our only shareholder

Founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, Patagonia is an outdoor clothing company based in Ventura, California. Certified as a B Corporation and a founding member of 1% for the Planet, the company is internationally recognised for its commitment to producing high-quality products, its environmental activism, and for donating more than $250 million to groups fighting to protect the environment. Its unique structure is based on a single shareholder: the planet. Profits not reinvested in the business are redistributed in the form of dividends to help protect it.

FABIO ZARDINI
He is the Country Manager for Italy. Born in Cortina d’Ampezzo in 1965, he has been working for Patagonia at its Italian headquarters in Brunico (BZ) since 1999.

ALMO NATURE
All profits to the Planet
Founded by Pier Giovanni Capellino in 2000, Almo Nature is an activist pet food company that uses ingredients originally 100% suitable for human consumption. In 2018, through a public and irrevocable act, Pier Giovanni and Lorenzo Capellino donated the entire ownership of the company to Fondazione Capellino. Since then, Almo Nature has been an integral part of the Reintegration Economy: an economic model in which 100% of profits — net of costs, taxes and investments — are allocated to the Foundation, whose sole purpose is the safeguarding of the biosphere and biodiversity.
In this way, what the production activity takes from nature is tangibly returned to it through the projects promoted internationally by the Foundation.

GIORGIO RAFFETTO
Secretary General of the Fondazione Capellino. Born in Genoa in 1984, he worked for over 10 years in the Almo Nature group, where he held various positions.

The event will be hosted by PIER GIOVANNI CAPELLINO.
